About Dylan Tran

Dylan is a recent graduate of Johns Hopkins University, where he studied creative writing, economics, and East Asian studies.
He is a Pushcart-nominated poet based in Washington, DC, who strives to uplift the Asian American voice in literature, while walking the fine line between culture and otherness.
Dylan’s love for anime and all things alike is what brought him to writing with Screen Rant.

Favorite Media

Dylan is most interested in Japanese animation, or "anime," but loves exploring manga as well as other source material genres, such as manhwa/manhua, light novels, and web novels.
Dylan is always down for a good sports series or Ghibli film, with his favorites being Chihayafuru, and Princess Mononoke, respectively.

Industry Focus

Dylan's writing has appeared professionally in a variety of settings and forms.
His poems have been published in multiple literary magazines and journals, he has contributed to article drafts and script writing as a curatorial assistant at the National Museum of American History, and he works as a freelance writer with The Haikuists.
Now, Dylan hopes to channel his love for anime into his list writing position with Screen Rant.
