Author Details
James Hunt is a writer and editor based in Newcastle, UK. A Sports Journalism graduate from the University of Sunderland, he quickly realized that supporting his local football (or "soccer") team, Sunderland AFC, was painful enough without having to write about it, so decided to write a load of nonsense about movies and TV instead.
Industry Focus
Having started at Screen Rant as a writer back in the summer of 2019, James has defied the odds and his lack of talent (Editor Note - nonsense) to become Deputy Features Lead Editor, having previously worked as TV Editor at WhatCulture (2015-2019). James also leads the Game of Thrones beat at SR, and yes, he even likes season 8. Sorry.
Favorite Media
James is particularly fond of franchises in the sci-fi or fantasy realm, especially Game of Thrones, Star Wars, and Harry Potter - y'know, the niche, nerdy stuff... Outside of Westeros and a galaxy far, far away, James' favorite movies and shows include It's A Wonderful Life, La La Land, Friends, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
